The 2016 Napanook shows the breeding and brilliance of its bigger brother, one of the USA’s most celebrated wines, Dominus. Notes of bramble and wilder hedgerow fruit, with plenty of grippy tannins, and a nice thread of minerality. The finish is impressively long: this punches above its weight.
