Dubonnet is known to have been Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite tipple, consumed as two parts Dubonnet and one part Gin poured into a small wine glass with ice and served with a slice of lemon. Dubonnet is a slightly sweet French vermouth. An elegant blend of herbs and selected wines.

Given a free tasting in a bar on the Costa Dorada in 1969, we have been buying this ever since, especially at Christmas. Difficult to find in the shops and supermarkets now.
Apparently her majesty likes a glass!
